General:
INFJs are future oriented and direct their insight and inspiration toward the understanding of themselves and thereby human nature. Their work mirrors their integrity, and it needs to reflect their inner ideals. Solitude and an opportunity to concentrate thoroughly on what counts most is important to them. INFJs prefer to quietly exert their influence They have deeply felt compassion, and they desire harmony with others. INFJs understand the complexities existing within people and among them. They do not call great deal of attention to themselves, preferring that their contributions speak for them. They are at their best concentrating on their ideas, ideals, and inspirations.
Living:
INFJ children can be gregarious and very much involved in the world of people, as well as quiet, imaginative and in their own world. They are gentle and often abhor violence. As teenagers, INFJs look for a small group people who understand and appreciate them. Without this support, they can feel isolated from others. They usually do not enjoy large parties, but prefer intimate long-standing friends. INFJs often settle early into a career choice and diligently apply themselves to the career requirements. This same diligent pattern applies when they selecting other important things in their lives, such as where to live, who to marry. INFJs look forward to nurturing family relationships, and to seeing the foundations that they have made for themselves flourish. Retirement gives them the opportunity to become further involved in interests and ideas that they have developed over their lifetime.
Learning:
INFJs have a strong love of learning, and they tend to do well academically. They prefer learning from teachers whom they like and admire, and who give them personal attention. Their desire to please their teachers and elders, along with their natural ability to grasp concepts and relationships., produce a strong student work ethic. They complete assignment in time through persistence and diligence. They enjoy research and will go to great lengths to find answers. They particularly enjoy investigating the possibilities and meanings beyond the facts and realities. INFJs write and communicate well because they want to formulate their ideas clearly. They may make a point of bringing their idealism into all conversations.
Working:
INFJs seek work where their needs, values, and ideals can be deeply engaged. They prefer quiet and organized work environment that allows them time and space for reflection. They are personal with others. Their offices may be filled with mementos or photos involving persons or causes important to them. They work with integrity and consistency, and follow through on their commitments. They want their work to have impact and meaning and for it to bring them admiration and respect. They enjoy occupations such as education consultant, psychiatrist, psychologist, scientist, social worker etc that allow them to make creative contribution.
Leading:
INFJs lead through their quiet yet persistent and determined effort toward long-range goal. They inspire others with their ideals. They use a low-key, soft, yet intense and determined course of action. They may act as facilitators between people. In meetings, they focus on both people and new ideas. Her strength is her vision, her intensive and extensive ability of deep study, and her willingness to pioneer in a new area.
Leisure:
Leisure-time pursuits for INTJs are often solitary or involves the others who are particularly important to them. Sitting around with dear friends discussing feeling can be very special to INFJs. INFJs are likely to have friends of long standing rather than make many new acquaintances.
Loving:
For INFJs, “still waters run deep”. They tend to become attracted to someone special and prefer this one deep relationship over many superficial ones. They want to give love and to be loved. They are quick to get into the relationship and make it a serious one. They become truly in touch with the depth of the love they have for their partner. Since they often have ideal standard of what love is, they often become disappointed when their partner revels flaws. When they are scored, they take it personally and retreat inward.
